Overall, this shader pack does create a greater level of strain and heightens Minecraft’s demand for system resources, so you’ll want to have more available memory, CPU power, and GPU power than normal if you want to use these shader packs. Some versions will work on systems that would never be able to support other versions. Lighting effects, especially those for lava, are also improved significantly.īecause the different versions of the AirLoocke42 Shaders provide different levels of detail and visuals throughout Minecraft, it’s hard to nail down a specific set of requirements to make the pack work. This means water won’t be so flat and boring to look at when you’re running alongside a river or sailing across an ocean. Basically, you get improved reflections in all the different versions. ![]() ![]() With Beta, Ultra, High, Standard, Lite, and Re-Mastered versions to choose from, there are many available options and that makes it difficult to nail down any single version of the shader pack. It’s hard to nail down the functions of the AirLoocke42 Shader pack because it comes in several different iterations, with different quality levels in each. While you can use this shader pack with the most recent Minecraft client, on our test, everything works on the latest Minecraft version with Optifine HD mod installed. That’s good and bad: good because it includes most Minecraft content through 1.8 and bad because it doesn’t include any of the content from the combat update, or Minecraft 1.9 and new releases. It was a long time ago released – September 2015 in fact – so it’s barely a 7-year-old at the time this review is being written. The AirLoocke42 Shaders mod is a relatively new entry in the long list of different shaders available for Minecraft.
